Gnomie had a very busy day. I had to carry him into the room. But they had this really nice bed for him in the window. Goodnight little Gnomie!! That's all until tomorrow!!

You are so fortunate to find a place of lodging which will accept gnomes. So few do these days -- I guess it's all the post-Amelie fallout. Were you able to walk in the front door, or did they sneak you and Gnomie in through the kitchen door?
On a separate note, I once enjoyed a birthday dinner seated at a table next to Steve Buscemi. I believe he was unaware that it was my birthday celebration, as he was seated with five or six pretty young women. This is not to say that if Steve happened to be seated with some of of the ugliest men ever to walk the planet would he then have taken notice of my birthday celebration -- it's just the way it was. Recognizing my birthday simply was not on his agenda that evening, and I felt no desire to impose on Steve, and perhaps make him feel in any way awkward or guilty at not having brought a gift.
